BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) — D.J. Irving converted a pair of free throws with two seconds left to play to lift Boston University to a 67-66 win on Sunday over defending Patriot League champion Lehigh in the Terriers’ first road game as a newly minted conference member.

Mackey McKnight’s three-point play with 0:08 left gave the Mountain Hawks the lead, 66-65, but Austin Price fouled Irving seconds later. Jesse Chuku missed a 3-pointer with one second left and Boston U grabbed the rebound to seal the victory.

Dom Morris and John Papale scored 15 and 14 points, respectively, to lead Boston U (9-6, 2-0 Patriot). Irving finished with 13 points and Maurice Watson Jr., added 10 points and dished off 12 assists.

McKnight, who scored 12 points in the final five minutes, finished with 23 points to lead Lehigh (8-7, 1-1). Corey Schaefer and Chuku both added 11 points.
