PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Rookie safety Early Wolff, who missed five of the last six games with a knee injury, was active for the Philadelphia Eagles for their NFC wild-card playoff game against the New Orleans Saints on Saturday night.
Wolff, who replaced Patrick Chung as the starter earlier in the season, had been questionable after missing practice most of the week. It’s uncertain how much he’ll play.
The Saints (11-5) are without Pierre Thomas, the team’s leading rusher and second-leading receiver. Thomas injured his chest last week. He rushed for 549 yards, and caught a career-high 77 passes for 513 yards.
Backup center Julian Vandervelde was the only significant inactive for the Eagles (10-6).
