NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Patrick Miller scored seven points in the final two minutes on Saturday night as Tennessee State won its 11th straight when hosting Jacksonville State 70-65.

Tennessee State (2-14, 1-2 Ohio Valley) took its biggest lead of the night after back-to-back 3-pointers by Jaquan Nobles put the Tigers up 58-50.

Jacksonville State (7-11, 1-2) closed the deficit to 62-60, but Miller put Tennessee State up by five on a 3-pointer with 1:36 to play and made all four his free throws in the final minute.

Miller finished with 19 points, four assists and four steals. Nobles added 11 points and M.J. Rhett had 13 rebounds for the Tigers.

Brian Williams led the Gamecocks with 19 points while D.J. Felder added 14 and Avery Moore 13. Moore’s 3-pointer with 23 seconds left put Jacksonville State within 68-65 before Miller’s last pair of free throws put the game out of reach.
