ST. LOUIS (AP) — Rob Loe scored a season-high 19 points as Saint Louis prepped for conference play in beating Yale 75-55 on Saturday.
Yale (5-7) shot 50 percent in the first half but scored only 26 points in just 20 shooting tries after turning the ball over 12 times to the Billikens. Saint Louis is off to their best start since going 14-1 in the 1993-94 season and led 37-26 at the break.
Saint Louis put the game away on a 14-2 run capped by a Loe layup with five minutes left to go up 70-48. The Billikens biggest lead in the game was 24 points.
Javier Duran led Yale scores with 13 points, while Justin Sears, averaging 17.3 ppg, was held to just 8 points.
Saint Louis (13-2) will take a seven game winning streak into Atlantic 10 action against Rhode Island on Tuesday.
