NEW YORK (AP) — Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Garnett is going to sit out for Saturday night’s game against Cleveland in order to rest.
Coach Jason Kidd says he wanted to give the 37-year-old veteran additional time off with the Nets beginning a stretch of five games in eight nights.
Reggie Evans started for the Nets at center, where Garnett had recently been starting after the season-ending loss of Brook Lopez to a broken right foot.
