NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Demarcus Daniels converted 4 of 6 from the free throw line in the final minute to preserve North Florida’s 78-73 Atlantic Sun Conference win over Lipscomb Saturday.

Malcolm Smith hit a pair of free throws that put Lipscomb up by two, 58-56, but the Bison then went scoreless for three minutes as the Ospreys (9-7, 3-0 Atlantic Sun) went on a 12-0 run.

Josh Williams broke the drought with a layup and J.C. Hampton scored twice while Khion Sankey and Martin Smith both drilled 3-pointers to pull Lipscomb within a point, 71-70, with 1:21 left.

Dallas Moore’s jumper gave the Ospreys a three-point lead with 32 seconds to play and Daniels closed it out from the line.

Beau Beech led North Florida with 20 points, with Travis Wallace and Moore adding 17 and 16 points, respectively.

Smith scored 20 points to lead Lipscomb (5-9, 0-3 Atlantic Sun).
