A 26-point third quarter propelled the Monarchs past the visiting Thunder.
Mountain View’s Alex Torson scored 22 of his game-high 38 points in the first half, which ended with the teams tied at 26.
Three quick 3-pointers early in the third quarter sparked the Monarchs’ big third quarter. Four players scored in double figures for Mark Morris (8-2), led by 21 points from Grant Gibb.
This was the fourth time this season that Mountain View’s Torson scored more than 30 points in a game. Torson made seven 3-pointers.
