Majok powers Ball St past Oakland City, 94-58

MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) — Majok Majok scored a season-high 25 points and grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds to power Ball State past Division-II Oakland City, 94-58, Friday night.

Coming off an 18-point, 14-rebound effort against James Madison in his last game, Majok blocked a pair of shots and was 7 of 10 from the field. He was 11 of 12 from the free throw line — scoring 18 points in the first half, sparking the Cardinals to a 42-28 lead at intermission.

Chris Bond had 16 points for the Cardinals. Zavier Turner and Mark Alstork added 14 and 13 points, respectively, and Jesse Berry added 10 more off the bench.

Lawrence Kinney scored 13 points to lead Oakland City, which competes as a Division II independent. Byron Dulin and Kendall Whittmer came off the Mighty Oaks’ bench to scored 12 and 11 points, respectively.
