TORONTO (AP) — Hockey Canada will unveil its Olympic team Tuesday at the Toronto Maple Leafs’ practice facility.
General manager Steve Yzerman, charged with making the final decisions on the 25-man squad, will be in attendance along with Canadian Olympic Committee President Marcel Aubut, Hockey Canada President and CEO Bob Nicholson, and coach Mike Babcock.
The announcement will come on the day of the International Ice Hockey Federation’s new deadline, pushed back from the original Dec. 31 date. European countries also are expected to announce their rosters Tuesday, while the U.S. did so Wednesday at the Winter Classic.
