Notable residents of Camas and Washougal will be the topic of March’s “First Thursday” presentation at the Clark County Historical Museum, 1511 Main St.
René Johnston Carroll, author of “Legendary Locals of Camas and Washougal,” will discuss the researching and writing of her book at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Carroll grew up in Camas and is a Washougal resident. With a family that includes Camas homesteaders and pioneers, she has a keen interest in the history of the Camas-Washougal area.
An active volunteer for the Camas-Washougal Historical Society, Carroll has been a docent at the Two Rivers Heritage Museum for 13 years and has been editor of the society’s newsletter for the past five years.
