Officials are still investigating the origin of Wednesday’s two-alarm fire north of Westfield Vancouver mall.

The fire at The Avenues apartment complex, 5515 N.E. 82nd Ave., displaced seven people.

In addition to working at the scene of the blaze, investigators are continuing to interview people, Vancouver Fire Marshal Heidi Scarpelli said.

It could be early next week before the fire marshal’s office has an update, Scarpelli said.

Damage to the structure and residents’ belongings was estimated at $225,000.
