Evergreen High School — For the first time in 27 years, a team from outside the Seattle area will represent Washington State at the “We The People” National competition hosted by the Center for Civic Education in Washington, D.C. Evergreen High School’s “We The People” team has been invited to D.C. for three days of mock hearings on Constitutional principles, ideals and history.

One small hurdle: The team — 20 students and two teachers from Advanced Placement government and politics class — wants to raise $35,000 or more for airfare, accommodations, food and sightseeing. Visit fundly.com/evergreen-we-the-people to help out; learn more about “We The People” at http://new.civiced.org/programs/wtp.
