Six earn rank of Eagle Scout

Six Boy Scouts from the Fort Vancouver district successfully passed their Eagle Scout board of review during January and have been advanced to the rank of Eagle Scout.

Jonathon Harrell of Boy Scout Varsity Team 336 made bat boxes for the Heritage Farm for his Eagle project. Jonathan, 15, is a son of Clinton and Lora Harrell. He is a freshman at Skyview High School.

Cullin Baisley of Boy Scout Troop 14 constructed turtle pond platforms on Salmon Creek Trail for his project. Cullin, a freshman at Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, is 14 and a son of Don and Cathy Baisley.

A freshman at Skyview High School, Ryan McAbel of Boy Scout Troop 310, led a renovation project at Hazel Dell Little League Park. He is 14 and a son of Nancy Pechman and John McAbel.

For his Eagle project, Gage Carlson of Boy Scout Crew 637 participated in a remodel project at Furry Friends cat rescue. Gage, 18, is a son of Misty and Joshua Carlson and a senior at Ridgefield High School.

Alexander Johnson, a senior at Kings Way Christian High School, is a member of Boy Scout Troop 310. He made planter boxes for South Ridge Elementary School for his project. Alexander is 18 and a son of Bruce and Melissa Johnson.

Brett Woods, a son of Lisa and Oscar Gonzalez, is a junior at La Center High School and is in the Lower Columbia College fire fighters program. He is a member of Boy Scout Troop 484 and conducted a renovation project at Camp Hope for his Eagle project. He is 17 years old.
