• City of Vancouver Fire Department — Fire Corps seeks volunteers to complete home safety surveys, visit preschools, install smoke alarms, assist with Scout Day safety programs and Fourth of July fireworks, marketing, technology and with research.

o Empower Up seeks volunteers to repair computers, assist with on-site donations, operate the thrift store’s cash register, do audio repair, and work in outreach.n Furry Friends is looking for one or two licensed vet techs to provide medical care to cats weekly or biweekly. Help is also needed with foster homes, phones, pet showings, transportation, administration, fundraising and adoption.

o Impact Northwest — Kids on the Block seeks puppeteers working in teams of two to present scripted educational programs to elementary school and community groups. Topics include drug abuse prevention, healthful eating habits and physical activity, personal safety, and child abuse.
