MEN’S BASKETBALL

Record: 24-1 overall, 16-0 NWAACC West Division.

NWAACC rank: Unanimous No. 1 in Feb. 18 coaches poll (final poll due out Feb. 25 on NWAACC.org).

Last week: Defeated South Puget Sound 88-69; defeated Highline 57-54.

Next games: NWAACC Tournament at Toyota Center, Kennewick: Clark vs. Chemeketa, 6 p.m. Saturday; Clark vs. Skagit Valley or Columbia Basin, 4 p.m. (winners bracket) or 8 p.m. (losers bracket) Sunday; semifinals on Monday, March 3; championship on Tuesday, March 4. (Click here for men’s bracket)

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

SOFTBALL

Season opener: New Clark head coach Mandy Hill and the Penguins begin with the Preseason Crossover Tournament at Richland. On Saturday, the Penguins play Columbia Basin at 9 a.m. and Walla Walla at 11 a.m. On Sunday, Clark plays Pierce at 9 a.m. followed by Blue Mountain. TRACK AND FIELD

Season opener: Clark one of four NWAACC teams scheduled to take part in the Erik Anderson Ice Breaker at Linfield College in McMinnville, Ore., on Friday (7 p.m. start) and Saturday (9 a.m. start). (Click here for men’s rosterclick here for women’s roster)
