Clark County Fire District 6 will be conducting a training exercise that will burn a house in the Salmon Creek area Wednesday.
The training is scheduled to last between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 3100 N.E. 134th St.
Community Home Health & Hospice requested the demolition in preparation for the construction of a 10-bed inpatient hospice care center, according to the fire district.
“We feel this is a win-win situation for all parties,” Training Captain Bryan Baum said in a release. “Training on unwanted structures saves tax payers’ money on outside training expenses — and nothing can replicate the experience of a live burn.”
