Fairway 164th — About 30 helpful teenagers surprised the Fairway Village retirement community on the snowy Feb. 8 when they shoveled paths from the driveways to the front doors of homes.
The do-gooders’ visit warmed the heart of resident Sandy Catrow who emailed The Columbian to say how great it was to see the young helpers hard at work on such a cold day.
“I don’t know if they were part of a church youth group or if they were from a local high school,” she wrote. “I thought of them as snow angels.”
