Camas — Pacific Crest Academy Catholic School teacher Angela Dasso took it all off — all of her hair, that is — to cap off a fundraising event for St. Baldrick’s Foundation to Conquer Childhood Cancer (www.stbaldricks.org).
Last fall Dasso promised her middle school students that she’d shave her head if they could raise $1,000 for St. Baldrick’s.
It turned out to be an easy goal, and in late January her thick, shiny black hair came off as the goal hit $16,000 for cancer research.
Also shaving their heads were nine Pacific Crest students: Jerrica Pachl, Andrew Pachl, Jared King, Tony Jackson, Sam Jackson, Brett Filuk, Blake Deringer, Nolan Purkerson and Ian Urias.
Three Pacific Crest Academy dads also sacrificed their hair for the cause: Juan Urias, Mark Jackson and Aaron Brotherton.
