Behind 36-point barrage from Makenna Schultz, River Ridge was able to outpace Washougal on Friday night in the first round of the 2A District 4 Tournament.
Washougal was within striking distance after two quarters and had a lot of solid contributions on the night.
RaeAnn Allen scored 18 points to go along with five rebounds and Megan Sharp pitched in 15 points of her own.
Alyssa Blankenship led Washougal in rebounds with nine to go along with 12 points on the evening.
Washougal was just simply unable to keep up with the pace that Schultz set as they went cold in the third quarter. Washougal guarded against River Ridge’s strong post players and Schultz took great advantage of the strategy from the three-point line.
Up next for Washougal is a game against Centralia at 6 p.m. Monday at Mark Morris.
