The Southwest Washington Workforce Development Council is soliciting proposals from organizations to provide two employment and training services in Clark, Cowlitz and Wahkiakum counties. Both are for programs offered under the Workforce Investment Act Title 1.
• The first proposal is to operate WorkSource one-stop centers in Vancouver and Kelso for adult and dislocated worker programs. A bidders’ conference will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Fort Vancouver Community Library at 901 C Street, Vancouver, in the Klickitat Room. Proposals are due March 24.
• The second proposal is to serve out-of-school youth ages 16-21 years old. This request for proposals seeks providers with a commitment and history of serving target populations, including those who have dropped out of school, who are deficient in basic skills or who have significant barriers to employment. A bidders’ conference for this proposal will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, also at the Fort Vancouver Community Library. Proposals are due April 4.
