The Portland Timbers and Seattle Sounders played to a scoreless draw on Saturday in a Major League Soccer preseason match in Tucson, Ariz.

Both teams played many of their available top players during the first 60 minutes, and used mainly reserves and players competing for roster spots for the final 30 minutes.

The Timbers have one win and two draws in preseason. The Sounders have two wins and one draw and play again on Sunday morning against the Vancouver Whitecaps.

The Timbers will play the Indy Eleven of the North American Soccer League at 5 p.m. on Wednesday to conclude their two-week camp in Tucson.

The best scoring chances for the Timbers on Saturday were a header by Gaston Fernandez off an Alvas Powell cross, and a final-minute chance for Frederic Piquionne that was cleared away by defender Jalil Anibaba. The Sounders most dangerous chance was a header by Obafemi Martins that missed the target.
