The Portland Winterhawks’ winning streak reached 11 games with a 10-3 Western Hockey League victory Friday against the Tri-City Americans at Kennewick.
It’s Portland’s second winning streak of 11 games this season, after first doing it from Oct. 12-Nov. 2.
It was a balanced offensive attack Friday, as 17 of the team’s 18 skaters registered at least a point. Defenseman Josh Hanson set a career-high with three assists in the win.
Nic Petan and Alex Schoenborn each scored two goals.
Goaltender Brendan Burke didn’t allow a goal until the 10:00 mark of the third, snapping a shutout streak of 174:57. He finished with 29 saves on 32 shots.
