Missing 11-year-old boy found safe

Ruben Daniels seen near Lincoln Elementary School

UPDATE: Ruben S. Daniels was found safe and he’ll be reunited with his family. Vancouver police said “social media was a major factor in finding him.”

Vancouver police are looking for a missing 11-year-old boy who was last seen this afternoon in front of his school.

Ruben S. Daniels fled from his parent around 1 p.m. today while being picked up from Lincoln Elementary School, 4200 N.W. Daniels St., in west Vancouver.

School security officers and Vancouver police searched the area for several hours, but couldn’t find the boy.

Daniels has a dark complexion, black hair, brown eyes and he weighs about 96 pounds and stands 4 feet, 6 inches tall. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a light gray shirt and a gray zip-up hoodie that has a lime green image of a skateboarder. He is wearing red and black Nike shoes.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911.
