Too early to fish for spring chinook salmon?
Well, on Saturday, Oregon’s flight of the lower Columbia counted 20 boats and almost 100 bank rods.
Reports with photographs were circulating online on Wednesday of a pair of spring chinook apparently caught in Multnomah Channel of the Willamette River.
Sturgeon fishing was slow in Bonneville pool on Saturday and Sunday. Weather conditions likely will nix much fishing this weekend.
Battle Ground Lake has been planted with 1,250 trout, while Klineline Pond received 1,000.

Mid-Columbia — Bonneville pool, 41 boaters with four legal sturgeon kept plus one oversize and 151 sublegals released; 71 bank rods with one oversize and 36 sublegals released; four boaters with no walleye. (WDFW)
