Three adults were displaced in an early morning fire at a Brush Prairie house.
Firefighters from Clark County Fire District 3 remained for hours at the scene of the fire, 18615 135th St. in Brush Prairie, checking for hot spots and other threats.
The agency was dispatched to the fire at 2:15 a.m., where they found a single-story house engulfed in flames.
It took crews about 45 minutes to get the blaze under control.
The structural integrity of the house was compromised, so crews had to wait to enter to have better control of the scene, said Deputy Chief Scott Sorenson. Ice and darkness were also factors that firefighters were dealing with, he said.
Volunteers from the American Red Cross were dispatched to the scene to provided lodging, food, clothing, comfort kits, and disaster health and mental health services.
