American Red Cross of Southwest Washington is looking for help with blood drives, CPR and First Aid instruction, photography, web design and clerical tasks.

Battle Ground Health Care is looking for volunteers to help in medical and clerical areas. A phlebotomist and a dental manager are in high demand.

City of Vancouver 50+ Forever Young Hikers is looking for a volunteer hiking guide and driver. Volunteers must be 50 or older, able to pass a background check, and willing to take First Aid/CPR.

Columbia River Mental Health Services seeks help with phones, filing, data entry, and mentors for children who need a caring adult friend.

Lutheran Community Services Northwest seeks volunteers with a vehicle to drive clients in the Refugee Placement Program to appointments, at times with short notice.

The Kids Cooking Corner is looking for one or two new board members to help spread its mission of healthy farm-to-table eating, and help teach youth to be self-reliant about food. Fundraising experience is helpful. A person qualified to manage and report on the agency’s finances is sought for the board’s treasurer position.

It is also looking for volunteers to assist with kids’ cooking classes, camps and birthday parties. Parent volunteers may bring their child to attend classes.

• The Clark County commissioners seek to fill two vacancies on the city/county telecommunications commission, for three-year terms beginning immediately.

Commission meetings are at 3:30 p.m. the first Wednesdays of each month at City Hall, 415 W. Sixth St., Vancouver.

• The Clark County commissioners seek to fill a vacancy on the Development and Engineering Advisory Board for a two-year term beginning in April. The opening is for a member professionally associated with development work.

The board typically meets 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month in the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver.
