Boys basketball: R.A. Long 54, Ridgefield 44

The host Lumberjacks made 8 of 10 free throws in the fourth quarter to put away the Class 2A Greater St. Helens League win.

Josh Mason scored 18 points and David Potter had 10, but the Spudders (11-7, 2-5) couldn’t quite catch the Lumberjacks in a game where the margin was tight until the final minutes.

Brady Hulings scored 14 points, Morgan Baker 13, and three players added seven apiece for R.A. Long (8-9, 3-3).
