Seattle ended the regular season on a six-game win streak in which opponents were outscored 134-39.

The streak started with a gritty 19-3 win Nov. 23 over Arizona, which brought a league-best 9-1 record into CenturyLink Field.

During the streak, Seattle has gotten significant contributions from unheralded players. That makes DeShawn Shead’s blocked punt and Cooper Helfet’s body-slam tackle so indicative of what has fueled this Seahawks run.

Though a punt rush wasn’t on, Shead saw Arizona only had 10 men on the field. Unblocked, he rushed punter Drew Butler, whose foot hit Shead flush in the mouth.

Arizona’s Rob Housler picked up the ball, but was flung around like an old chew toy by Helfet.

Leading 9-3 at the time, Seattle never looked back in that game or in the five games that followed.
