No. 5 – Wilson the magician

Russell Wilson’s best attribute is being able to make something out of a play that has disaster written all over it.

The Seahawks quarterback pulled a colony of rabbits out of his hat on Monday Night Football against Washington on Oct. 6.

Wilson rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns and completed 18 of 24 passes in a 27-17 win. But no moment was more impressive than the play that clinched the victory.

Leading 24-17 with 2:34 left, Seattle faced third-and-four at midfield. Seattle’s pass protection quickly broke down, sending Wilson scrambling a full 15 yards behind the line of scrimmage.

As he was about to be hit, Wilson found Marshawn Lynch open near the sideline. The running back took the ball to the 21-yard-line. Wilson had turned a big loss into a first down that all but ended Washington’s hopes of a comeback.
