Hockinson 55, Kennedy Catholic 46 — The Hawks won the Oberto Christmas Classic at Burien, beating host Kennedy Catholic, a Class 3A team, with a balanced scoring effort.
Elle Tilkin had 11 points and 10 rebounds and was named player of the game. Sydnie Cole had nine points, six steals and made 7 of 12 free throws. Tilkin and Cole were named to the all-tournament team.
After trailing by three after the first quarter, Hockinson edged ahead by halftime at 27-22 and maintained its advantage with a 15-6 third quarter.
