Boys basketball: Seton Catholic 56 Montesano 55

Seton Catholic dominated with its defense and held off Montesano in the first round of the Ilwaco Holiday Tournament.

Montesano had two chances to win in the final eight seconds, but the Cougars defense held without Montesano ever getting a shot off.

Freshman Brock Schoene led Seton in scoring with 13 points and also had five steals. Max Moreland had 12 points and seven rebounds, and Emil Chan had 10 points and applied full court defensive pressure the entire game.

Seton will play the either Ilwaco or Naselle at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
