Christmas Holiday Closures

What’s open and what’s closed for Christmas:

MAIL: Post offices closed. Only priority mail delivered. The postal unit at Shell, 1605 N.W. Sixth Ave., Camas, is open 5 a.m. to 2 a.m. every day of the year.

GARBAGE: Trash and recyclables normally picked up today by Waste Connections in Vancouver and most of Clark County will be picked up Friday. Friday’s normal collection will be picked up Saturday. In Camas, today’s trash and recyclables will be picked up Friday with Friday’s regular collections.

PUBLIC LIBRARIES: Fort Vancouver Regional Library and Camas Public Library closed.

CLARK PUBLIC UTILITIES: Offices closed. For 24-hour customer service, call 360-992-3000. For outages or emergencies, call 360-992-8000.

GOVERNMENT OFFICES: Closed.

PARKING METERS: On-street parking in Vancouver is free.

BUSES: C-Tran follows the Sunday/holiday schedule today, and the reduced service schedule Friday. TriMet follows the Sunday schedule today.

DRIVER’S LICENSING: Closed.

EMISSIONS TESTING: Closed.

VEHICLE LICENSING: Closed.

BANKS: Closed.

FINANCIAL MARKETS: New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq and other markets closed.

ZOO: Oregon Zoo closed.

GIFFORD PINCHOT NATIONAL FOREST HEADQUARTERS: Offices in Vancouver and Amboy closed today and Friday.

MARSHALL COMMUNITY CENTER: Closed.

FIRSTENBURG COMMUNITY CENTER: Closed.

ANIMAL SHELTERS: Humane Society for Southwest Washington and West Columbia Gorge Humane Society: Closed.

WESTFIELD VANCOUVER MALL: Closed.

THE COLUMBIAN: Offices closed. Circulation customer service open 4:30 a.m. to noon.
