‘Star Wars’ villains raise money for Salvation Army

Orchards — “Star Wars” villains took a break from trying to take over the universe to do some good on Dec. 14 at The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle fundraiser at Orchards Fred Meyer. Members of the charitable Cloud City Garrison costume club, a chapter of the 501st Legion of Stormtroopers organization, rang bells to ask for donations from noon to 3 p.m. at each entrance of the store. There are more than 10,000 members of the 501st Legion worldwide.
