Mount Hood Meadows adds two more chairlifts for Christmas Day

Mount Hood Meadows announced today it is adding two more chairlifts to its operations for Christmas Day.

Mount Hood Express and Shooting Star will operate, opening more terrain and bringing the total number of chairlifts running to five, plus Ballroom Carpet conveyor.

The resort has a 19-inch snow depth at its base area, but almost 3 feet higher on Mount Hood.

The adult chairlift ticket price will be $69. The ski area is operating daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Timberline Lodge has a 25-inch base and operated Pucci and Bruno’s on Wednesday.

Mount Hood Skibowl has not opened for skiing yet, but offers tubing at Skibowl East from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. or 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
