A Vancouver teenager was treated at a hospital and released after she was struck by a vehicle Friday night.

Sarah MacDuffee was crossing Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard against the walk signal at Northeast 102nd Avenue at about 10 p.m., said Vancouver police Sgt. K.C. Kasberg.

The driver of a 2005 Nissan Armada traveling east on Fourth Plain did not see her and crashed into her, Kasberg said.

MacDuffee, 17, was wearing dark clothing and was using headphones, police said. Her head and leg were injured.

Kasberg said that the driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with police. He did not anticipate any citations in the case. “It was dark, pouring down rain and (the driver) wasn’t able to see her,” he said.
