Boys basketball: Union 75, O’Dea 56

The Titans defense set the tone early as Union rolled into the championship game at the Curtis Holiday Tournament in University Place.

Union forced O’Dea of Seattle into 10 turnovers in the first quarter and built an early 10-point lead.

Union coach Blake Conley said it was his team’s best defensive effort and most complete game so far this season.

All 12 Union players scored in the game. The Titans led 39-27 at halftime and put the game away by scoring 21 points in the third quarter.

Cameron Cranston led Union with 14 points, Riley Hawken scored 12 and Thomas Lampkin, Jr., had 11.

Union will face South Kitsap in the tournament final. The championship game is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.
