Vancouver Heights — An interactive digital story that examines post-eruption Mount St. Helens was recently created by Washington State University Vancouver students using modern technologies, including virtual reality and 3-D animation.
The “Life Renewed” exhibit can be previewed at 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Nouspace Gallery inside Vancouver’s Angst Gallery, 1015 Main St. Students in a senior course of the school’s Creative Media and Digital Culture program worked together to create the innovative display to teach about the renewal of life at the mountain since its devastating eruption in 1980, according to a press release.
Beginning in April, the exhibit will be a permanent part of the Mount St. Helens Science and Learning Center in Toutle.
