Police arrested an east Vancouver couple who were allegedly selling marijuana through a slot in the front door of their house.

In the past several weeks, detectives saw several teenagers walk up to the front door of 13326 N.E. 39th St. and then leave. Undercover detectives purchased marijuana from the house twice as part of the investigation.

When police served a search warrant at the house in the Image neighborhood on Dec. 11, they found a medical marijuana grow, more than $8,000 in cash and jewelry, which they seized, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

On Tuesday, police also served search warrants for safety deposit boxes that contained more packaged money and jewelry. In total, $64,000 was seized, the agency said. The jewelry’s value is unknown.

Julie Nguyen, 54, and Mao Nguyen, 57, were arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of possessing, manufacturing and delivering marijuana.
