Girls basketball: Mark Morris 63, Woodland 36

The Beavers led early but where eventually overwhelmed by the top-ranked Monarchs.

Woodland led 16-11 after the first quarter at home. But Mark Morris stormed back to improve to 2-0 in the 2A Greater St. Helens League and 4-0 overall.

“They’re just relentless,” Woodland coach Glen Flanagan said of Mark Morris. “They’re going to get their looks. They eventually wore us down.”

Karley Eaton scored 22 points and her twin Kourtney had 15 for the Monarchs.

Jessica Flanagan had 10 points, six rebounds and four assists for Woodland (3-2, 1-1).
