Harney Heights — Summit View Church of the Felida neighborhood and Royal Oaks Country Club of the Ogden neighborhood have teamed to help Martin Luther King Elementary School’s Holiday Shoppe provide some cheer for 200 families. The Holiday Shoppe lets families pick out a gift or two for each child in the last week of school before Christmas. Royal Oaks held a Holiday Bazaar and Summit View a Christmas Soiree to benefit King, with the total expected to be close to or more than $5,000, according to the Rev. Rob Anderson. Fred Meyer stores helped with gift cards and discounts.
