Boys basketball: Union 63, Battle Ground 47

The Titans hit 11 3-pointers and played tough defense to earn a 4A Greater St Helens League win.

Cameron Cranson and Riley Hawken each scored 16 points for Union (4-1, 2-0). Hawken added 11 rebounds.

“We were passing the ball pretty well and finding the open man,” Union coach Blake Conley said. “Tonight we emphasized defense. I was pleased with how we played.”

Devin Johnson had 15 points and Kobe Ford added 13 for Battle Ground (2-2, 0-1).
