Ryan Sturdivan’s second half-court basket of the night on Monday gave the Woodland Beavers an improbable 49-47 boys basketball win at Kelso.

Sturdivan’s game-winning shot from just behind the half-court line came after Woodland called a timeout with less than 3 seconds on the clock.

Sturdivan also swished home a half-court shot at the third-quarter buzzer. He finished with six 3-pointers and a game-high 24 points for the 5-0 Beavers.

Woodland was fortunate to have the game-winning chance. Down one point with 7 seconds left, the Beavers turned over the ball. But Kelso (5-1) missed three foul shots to give Woodland one more shot at victory.
