Washington and Oregon will meet by teleconference at 10 a.m. Dec. 18 to consider sturgeon retention angling in the Bonneville pool of the Columbia River in 2015.
In recent years, the states have adopted a split season, with fishing in January and February, then a closure, followed by a couple of weekends of retention in mid-June.
Catches generally are best in the lower end of the reservoir in winter and improve in The Dalles area during the summer.
A joint state hearing also is scheduled for 10 a.m. Jan. 28 at the Clark Regional Wastewater District Office, 8000 52nd Court, to adopt the lower Columbia spring chinook season.
