Boys basketball: Battle Ground 58, Yelm 54

The visiting Tigers (2-0) led by 21 points in the third quarter and survived a ragged finish.

Nate Moring scored 21 points and had seven assists, and Devin Johnson had 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead Battle Ground.

The Tigers missed nine free throws and turned over the ball 11 times in the fourth quarter, but the Tornadoes were never closer than the final four-point margin.
