The Prairie boys basketball team got a big game from its bench and its second-half defense to beat Camas 60-55 on Wednesday.
Seth Hall and Ethan Rouse came off the bench to score 12 and 10 points respectively and made key contributions late for the Falcons.
Prairie trailed by eight points with four minutes to go. But Hall hit a 3-pointer with two minutes to play to put Prairie on top.
Rouse and Palmer Goecke hit free throws down the stretch to seal the win.
Camas’ Trevor Jasinsky had 11 points by halftime, but was shut out in the second half.
“We just played some great team defense against him,” Prairie coach Kyle Brooks said. “That was big, especially after him having such a big game the other night against (Columbia) River).”
Goecke and Hall paced Prairie with 12 points. Jake Hansel had 15 of his 21 points in the second half for Camas.
