Mark Morris, one of the best teams in the state regardless of classification, outscored Skyview in the fourth quarter for a five-point win.
Karley Eaton scored 24 points, Ashley Coons had 19, and Kourtney Eaton added 16 for the Monarchs.
Kirsten Johnson led Skyview with 15 points. Ashlee Comastro had 12 and HJ Adams added 11.
Mark Morris won the Class 2A state championship in 2013 and then finished second in state last season.
