Shumway — The Gift of Lift Campaign gave 140 brassieres to a YWCA Clark County program that aims to help incarcerated women get back on their feet after they leave jail.
The clothing was presented to the YWCA Clark County WORTH Program on Nov. 12. The Gift of Lift Campaign, a collaboration of the National Women’s Coalition Against Violence & Exploitation and PeaceHealth Medical Group Plastic Surgery, will continue to collect bras until Jan. 17.
Following the campaign, any remaining bras will be donated to YWCA Clark County and the Free The Girls nonprofit, which provides job opportunities to survivors of sex trafficking. Find drop-off locations at www.facebook.com/thegiftoflift.
