EUGENE, Ore. — Jalil Abdul-Bassit scored all 19 of his points in the first half as Oregon roared away early to an 81-59 victory over Portland State on Sunday night.

Joseph Young also had 19 points for the Ducks (4-2), who had five players in double figures and snapped a two-game losing streak. Dillon Brooks had 16 points, 12 in the second half while Casey Benson finished with 13 points and Jordan Bell 10.

DaShaun Wiggins led the Vikings (4-1) with 15 points off the bench, and Bryce White and Braxton Tucker both added 10.

Starting three freshmen and no one taller than 6-foot-6, Oregon blocked 12 shots and held Portland State to season-low 25.8 percent shooting (17 of 66).

Brooks’ season-high 14 rebounds led the Ducks, whose largest lead was 73-46. Bell’s 10 rebounds also gave him a double-double.
