Finally, some moisture to settle the dust and add a fresh scent to the air. Don’t you love the smell of rain after a long dry spell? Heavenly. The rain was scattered in the form of showers and drizzle. I picked up a scant 0.07 inch by 3 p.m. Saturday. The official tally at Vancouver was 0.01 inch. Maybe you received a better dousing than I did.
The northwest flow of air will allow another low-pressure system to streak through today and tonight, so there is a chance of a little more moisture. Not a total washout, and we should see more sunshine than on Saturday.
The upcoming week looks like highs in the 75-80 degree range, maybe higher if we get clear skies and sunshine. Some forecast models show moisture making its way inland at times, so we could see some clouds and drizzle or sprinkles around, but it’s too early to pinpoint if and when.

I’m about ready for fall; it’s kind of difficult not to adjust with the longer hours of darkness infringing on my enjoyment of sunny daylight.
