Camas — The life and hard work of Marilyn Goodman, who was a coordinator for the Camas Farmer’s Market before she died from ovarian cancer Aug. 15, will be celebrated Wednesday at the market.

Goodman played a big role in helping the market be what it is today, according to the latest Downtown Camas Association newsletter.

“What a legacy she leaves and it will be a joy to celebrate her,” the newsletter said.

She’ll be honored with a celebration at 6:15 p.m. on Northeast Fourth Avenue between Everett and Franklin streets in Camas.

A short service and reception will follow at 6:45 p.m. at Journey Community Church, 304 N.E. Fourth Ave. Because she was a proud University of Oregon Ducks fan, attendees are encouraged to wear the team’s colors of green and yellow.
